Hardware Disk Mirroring

Hello,

I was wondering about the pro's and con's of Software vs Hardware RAID on
root disks. For example the T2000's and v440's come their own onboard RAID
controller. What is the prefered "best practice" when setting up boot disks,
Hardware or Software mirrors? I also noticed that the v440 can only create 1
Hardware RAID anyway, even though it has 4 disks...
