probe-scsi hangs on sparc 10

2007-12-25 11:33:00

Before I get too swamped with replies I want to summarize

this. I found that when we powered down & unplugged the

external drive our probe-scsi command worked fine. I

guess we have a bad external drive...

Here's the original post:

I received responses from:

From: Darren Dunham

From: Dan Robb

From: Dan Sweet

From: Stuart, Reggie

Everybody suggested I do the following:

OK> setenv auto-boot? false

OK> reset

[wait...]

OK> probe-scsi

[data]

OK> setenv auto-boot? true

OK> (reset or boot)

I did the reset as suggested and found that

it made no difference. Progress came when we

removed the external drive.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions & the quick

feedback!!!
