SUMMARY: LUN limitations with FC

Answer:
Looks like there are no driver/host side limitations to this number.
The question is of configuration and performance issues. If one really
wanted to have so many target luns off of one HBA they could, just be
wary of the outcome.
Thanks for the feedback gentlemen,

I seem to be finding some differing info that I'm hoping I can resolve
with someone who has actually implemented the design.
I need to upgrade some storage on a Symm5 which is configured as a loop
right now attached via JNI 1063 hba's. The LUN limitation, according to
the docs, is 128 max. The EMC rep is saying once moved to a switched
fabric, which I'm going to implement anyway, will then double that
limitation to 256. Is this true or do I need to up my hba count on the
host to accomdate the expanded storage?
This one's been bugging me for a while, so any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks,
-Derrick
