My mail problem

In the last few weeks I have a serious problem with my emails .
I seem to be losing part of my emails that stored in
/var/mail/username file .
my mail tool is netscape 7.0 and this configured as POP
face to our unix mail server .
I noticed that there is another process in addition to my pop process
( during configuration of netscape mail tool , by default every 10 minutes )
that wakes up and download my emails from /var/mail/username .
this is the cause to the lost of many of my emails and peoples ask
me about these emails every day .
I tried to identify the problem but with no success .
Also I changed the interval checking for new emails in my Netscape
to 1 minute
and still I lose emails .
This problem has damaged my work day , so i would appreciate it if you
can check this for me ASAP , and let me know if you can help me .
