automounter problems

At this time I don't believe the upgrade to the server was the problem.

We had changed the way we automount files. We read the master YP map

for the automounter in each machine's rc.local and create a local copy

of the file which we then use do actually do the automount. This has

never worked under 4.0.x for some reason. We forgot this. The machines

we upgraded could have just had our mod taken out and worked. However

others have similiar problems.

I have seen this behavoir with 4.0.3 machines I have. The majority

of my machines are 4.1. The only solution I have is to reboot the

4.0.3 machines each morning. Suns answer is to upgrade(obviously).
