mail corruption issue

Hi guys:
I am new to this. After I log into my mail server and type "mail", I get the following message.
mail: Your mailfile was found to be corrupted
(Content-length mismatch).
Message #100 may be truncated,
with another message concatenated to it.

What does this mean? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks
