sendmail to two different hosts

Hi,

I've got a few Solaris 7/8 servers here on which I need to reconfigure
sendmail to support an odd MS-Exchange environment, and I'm hoping someone can
help me.

Situation: two MS-Exchange servers...

server1 - is the MX for our domain, and should be used for all mail sent from
Unix to users within our domain (usernames with no @ component should be
delivered locally)

server2 - should be used for all mail sent from Unix to users outside of our
site

If smarthost/DS is set to server1, users cannot send mail outside of the
company (due to configuration issues in Exchange that my group is not at
liberty to change).

If smarthost/DS is set to server2, email sent to @curagen.com addresses is
munged by this "attach-a-disclaimer-and-linewrap-at-80-characters" malware
that we are also not at liberty to change, and is thus Not Good Enough for
internal email

It would seem both of these servers are too dumb to act as smarthosts, which
is about the most complicated sendmail configuration I've worked with before.

I'm going from the stock sendmail.cf that ships with Solaris 7/8, and haven't
had any luck. I've got the feeling that I could do this with mailertables
somehow, but for the life of me I can't figure out where to start with this m4
stuff in /usr/lib/mail.

This has got to be a simple (read: common) configuration -- can somebody help
me out with the correct way to do this?

Thanks
