A much bigger NIS problem...

2007-12-25 0:34:00

Hello,
I just realised that i commented out all entries except 127.0.0.1 in
'/etc/hosts' on the NIS client cos it was supposed to get the hosts from the NIS
server... i didn't realise at the time that if i did that it wouldn't be able to
resolve the NIS server itself!

This is why things are taking ages, and it's also why i'm unable to log in, right?

is there any way around this?

Wot a moron i am! lol

Richard.
