RPC start-up problems

2007-12-24 22:10:00

I applied the 3/12/02 Sunsolve patch-cluster. After rebooting my Coldfusion
server won't start and likes to give these errors:

###
Wind/U Error (248): Failed to connect to the registry on server flare
ERROR: Unable to start the ColdFusion processes.
Cause: The ColdFusion registry does not appear to be running.
This process should have been started by the ColdFusion 'start'
script. Verify that the windu_registryd process is running,
and that Sun RPC (rpcbind) is configured.
###

Of course I assumed it was the CF server. But looking at my
/var/adm/messages I'm seeing some really funky RPC error messages:

###
Mar 13 20:10:57 [server] rpcbind: udp: address in use
Mar 13 20:10:57 [server] rpcbind: tcp: address in use

Mar 13 20:10:57 [server] rpcbind: could not find loopback transports
Mar 13 20:11:09 [server] rpcbind: rpcbind terminating on signal.
Mar 13 20:14:17 [server] /usr/dt/bin/ttsession[755]: Error: could not
contact rpcbind
Mar 13 20:14:17[server] /usr/dt/bin/ttsession[755]: gettransient(): 0
Mar 13 20:14:22 [server] dtwm[762]: libtt[762]: libtt:

h code -1, see syslog
Mar 13 20:14:54 [server] /usr/dt/bin/ttsession[861]: Error: could not
contact rpcbind
Mar 13 20:14:54 [server] /usr/dt/bin/ttsession[861]: gettransient(): 0
Mar 13 20:14:56 [server] dtsession[862]: libtt[862]: libtt:
startup_ttsession("ttsession -s -d :0") failed
with code -1, see syslog
###

And I'm not seeing anything in my syslog. Can anyone tell what's going on?
This is optimally madenning.
