Sun Fire V880
Sun Fire 280R
Solaris 8
We have a V880 with 6 72 GB disks (Seagate ST373307FC). We wanted to
use one of these disks in the 280R which only had 36 GB disks.
According to the Components List on SunSolve, this model disk should
work in the 280R. So i put one in the 280R as the second disk. When the
disk is under load the following errors appear in the /var/adm/messages
file rather frequently.

Is the disk in fact not supported in the 280R or is it just a faulty
disk. The disk had not been used in the V880 so it is entirely possible
that it could be faulty and we didn't realize it.
