Problem FTP and Solaris 8

that is experiencing a strange problem. With a certain small file, when
uploading it from 2 different XP boxes and a 3rd Solaris FTP client on a
different machine, the file gets truncated. At different places in the file,
and it is somewhat intermittant, though it probably happens 80% of the time.
Does anyone have any ndd pointers that I should look at tweaking in order to
fix this? I'm assuming that this is some sort of MTU or other low level
ethernet interface setting that needs adjusting.
