CDE not coming up

We have a sun ultra 1 with sun os 2.5.1, also cde application separately. The system is booting till the point of getting the CDE login prompt. At this point, the hour glass icon is displayed, indicating that the system is busy. The following error is found in var/dt/Xerror:
/usr/dt/config/Xsetup[145]: 8359 Bus error (core dump)
ld.so.1:dtgreet:fatal:relocation error:symbol not found:-_XmSetThickness referenced in /usr/dt/lib/libDtWidget.so.1
error (pid 10331):cannot execute Dtgreet /usr/dt/bin/dtgreet for :0
We have checked the graphics card and it is working fine. We are able to ping from other systems in the network.
