2007-12-25 3:01:00

spoke too soon problem still exists on older Solaris 8 build that i'm
mandated to use.

Turns out that Solaris 8 04/01 and earlier have a problem with the mountd
and files greater than 2 gig size.
resolved with patch 111197-02.

thanks for the help.

Thanks to Karl and all others who helped solve this problem.

I had to install Patches 109318-34 and 111098-01 into the miniroot of the
jumpstart dir.

Dan,

I'm running solaris 8 and the latest patch for flarcreate is 109318-34

I also understand that flarcreate uses cpio and there seem to be some
patched
of cpio.

What i did was upgrade to the latest recommended patches this past monday.
These patches included 109318-34.

A silly thing i was doing is creating a flash archive and running out of
disk
space.

Those are my thoughts.
