vxfs: mesg 008: vx_direrr: vx_dirrem_5

We have two identical servers, one is a dev server and
the other one is qa server. They both have the same
VxFS version (VxFS 3.4 Patch 3). We're getting the
following error in the dev server but not in the qa
server:
vxfs: mesg 008: vx_direrr: vx_dirrem_5
According to sunsolve.sun.com, upgrade the 110435-07
to rev -08. According to Veritas, upgrade the VxFS 3.4
Patch 3 to Patch 4 which is the 110435-08 patch. But
how would I justify/explain that the bug or error
exists on dev server and why it doesnt exist on the qa
server? Both servers are doing the same tasks. If I
need to upgrade to patch on dev server, I should
upgrade the one on qa server also to maintain their
same patch levels. But what could be the good
justification that I would upgrade the patch on qa
server?
