UPDATE: nfs woes NFS lookup failed for server terra: error 7 (RPC: Authentication error)

many errors like the above. googling and searching Sun's site for this
error reveals very little. Any clues on this error?
My netgroups file seems to be OK. Root is in 11 netgroups but these are 2.7
and 2.8 solaris servers and clients.
Again, this configuration *had* been working for well over a year, until we
started making network changes related to PC virus defences.
