solaris 7 and swap partition

2007-12-25 10:34:00

Hello!

My original question:

>I have defined the partition swap of 600Mb and it's mounted in tmp .

When I execute the command df -k, the size of this partition is

incorrect:

> swap 1009896 8 1009888 1% /tmp

>

>And the command swap -l:

>swapfile dev swaplo blocks free

>/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s1 32,1 16 1231696 1231696

Thanks at all.

The answer is:

/tmp is *not* the swap partition. It's a virtual emory

based filesystem.

Swap is the sum of swap partitions and physical memory available for

processes.

Thanks!!!
