Problem using quota

I have a ufs filesystem for which I have turned the
quota attribute on. I intend to allow 250 MB per user.
I have done this for /export/home on the NIS master.
The problem is that when i issue quota -v command on
the master the quotas are displayed for the user
correctly. However, on NIS clients, when I issue quota
-v (from any account), the quota for all users is
displayed. Besides this the usage for all users is
summed up and displayed as the usage for all the
users.
Please help with suggestions as I am afraid I might
run into problems if some of the users use a good
portion of their quota.
I will summarize.
