URGENT: filesystem issue

2007-12-25 11:50:00

Hi all.

Thanks a lot to everyone who responded with a solution.

Special thanks to Darren Dunham.

We finally mounted the filesystem as READ-ONLY and pulled off some

important to another new filesystem.

Data transfer is still ON as the filesystem is 90GB with about 9 million

files in it.

Thanks again for all the help.

Detailed solution from Darren and my original question is below.

That takes quite a bit of problems to cause that.

I don't know any way to mount the disk and fix that.

*however*. You might be able to mount the disk read-only

mount -o ro /dev/rdsk/cxtxdxsx /mount/point

If that works, dump/copy the good data that you can get off the disk and

then newfs it.
