bare metal backup on sun solaris ?

Is there any tools/package on Solaris which is comparable with Ignite-UX on
HP/UX or mksysb on AIX?
the idea is to easily create (bootable) tape/cd for OS recovery.
the OS version which i managed mostly still solaris 8 though...
