access to sun box via ftp

Having a minor issue I know many of you will know the solution to.
Im running Sol8 on an ultra 5. Its networked & working fine. Im able to
FTP from CL but I would love to throw this into a web browser & have access:
ftp:// host IP (do not want format root at IP...)
However, when I try this I receive the following error:
windows can not access this folder, make sure you typed the filename
correctly & that you have permission to access this folder
I have a number of other sun boxes where this works, normally on connection
Im prompted for username & password.
I know its something very simple but I honestly can not remember, its
killing me. I hope someone out there can point out what I need to do.
