Setting file system limits that are not on seperate partitions

I am used to setting directory size limits on mount points and filesystems,
is there a way within solaris 8 to set individual directorys size limits
even though they are not on separate filesystems
Eg:
File system
/ on /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s3
/home on /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s4
/var on /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s3
normally I would be able to set the directory sizes of the user directories
under home, as they come of a mount point, but what about if I wanted to set
directory size limits on
/usr/local/tmp (100 meg)
/sbin (200 meg)
/opt/test ( 1gig)
(just for example so please don't shount about /sbin)
This (as I understand it) would be a problem as they all come of the same
mount point (/)
I don't need tons of detail I am happy to dig around, but just a basic note
of if and how this is possible.
