Max swap slice size

2007-12-25 3:39:00

Thanks for your replies.

We are running applications that handle large data files, up to 5Gb, and our
machines are equiped with 2Gb RAM. We would therefore like to allocate as much
diskspace as possible to swap.

No - Swap can be as big as you like. Rule of thumb: swap = size physical
memory

Good afternoon,
Is there a swap size limitation of 2Gb for both 32 AND 64-bit Solaris 8?
Thanks,
Yatsen
