> 100557-03 ftp Jumbo patch, as far as I'm concerned as always caused performances to be abysmal!

> 100170-10

I would be very dubious about 100170:

sunos 4.1 any 100170-10 SunOS 4.1;4.1.1;4.1.2;4.1.3: jumbo patch to fix various ld problems

ld.so is the only thing (outside of the kernel) where 4.1.3 and 4.1.3C are

not compatible. As a matter of fact, I remember installing 100170-10 on a

4.1.3C and watching it failing to boot!

The following are kernel patches and from the fact that "Sun Support"

said that 100170-10 was safe, I would hesitate a bit before installing them.

I would suggest installing them one at a time and wait a bit to see if

anything breaks!

100173-10 NFS jumbo

100359-06 streams jumbo patch

100507-04 tmpfs jumbo patch

100567-04 mfree panic due to mbuf being freed twice, icmp redirects can be used to make a host drop connections

100623-03 UFS jumbo patch

101008-01 IPI - Galaxy jumbo patch (who's going to test that on an LX?)

In your summary, you should have mentionned the "compulsory" 4.1.3C

patch:

sunos 4.1.3 any 101247-01 SunOS 4.1.3RevC: Performance degradations on SPARCstation-LX without speaker box

For those who have used xmosaic, in the past you might check the

following URL for accessing the list of Sun's patches, I have made sublists

according to OS versions. The introductory text is in french, but the links are

easily understood. There are hypertext links to the README's that

I have (lots) and also to the patches themselves, but remember that that

machine is in Switzerland before downloading a huge patch. Also, the

machine sunline is regretfully only a 4/110, so...
