Large IDE Disks on Ultra 10 / Solaris 9

What is the largest IDE disk size that I can use on an Ultra 10 / Solaris 9?
I got a 200GB Maxtor Diamondmax plus 9 disk which, according to format, has
only half a gig capacity:

c0t1d0 <Maxtor 6Y200P0 cyl 255 alt 2 hd 16 sec 255>

Obviously, the disk is not recognized. Does format.dat help here, or am I
hitting some hard limit?
