Clear Case VOB Lock and Cluster Servers

1. We have a Sun Fire 880 Server which is Configured as a ClearCase VOB
Server. I want to know is there any other way to Backup Vobs by locking
it for a short duration like the Veritas SnapShot feature does.
Basically I want to reduce the time for locking of Vobs.
2. Is it Possible whether 4 or 5 E-450 Servers can be configured as a
Cluster for Clear Case VOB Builds. When I run a Clear Case Build it
should find out the least loaded Server from any of these Clustered
E450 servers to run the build. If so, Please let me know the procedures
or url referrences.
