sun blade100 booting problem!!!

I am facing the problem with my sun blade 100... it is a new m/c
preinstalled with solaris8
The problem is as follows:
While I try to reinstall solaris7 on solaris 8.
I am typing at o.k prompt
ok boot cdrom
then system is asking
enter the kernel file: kernel/unix
If I type the /platform/sun4u/kernel/unix
After this the system is asking me to type the directories to load the
modules etc...(selecting the defaults)
then the system try to read cd upto some level then it comes out...with
some panic messages....
I tried the following ways...
Ok set-defaults and stop-N while booting up
Try to help me .... To solve this issue ( no problem if I try to boot the
system with solaris8 cd )
