nslookup: can't find server name for address 127.0.0.1

2007-12-25 10:07:00

Sun Managers, I beg your pardon.

I thought that I could use nslookup on Solaris with NIS

without DNS.

I work most of my time on HP-UX, and there nslookup

queries NIS tables also if DNS is not configured at all (no

named daemon, no /etc/resolv.conf etc.)

Thanks to all who responded (till now):
