SUMMARY: openssh 3.0.2p1

2007-12-24 21:53:00

There are several e-mails...one suggested compile with -g instead of -O2
another (below)...I did not get a chance to do either, as I installed all
the necessary packages from sunfreeware.com (using pkgadd) and don't have
the ability to tinker with the source as suggested below.

from source:

/opt/sfw/bin/prngd /var/run/prng-socket

/etc/prngd.conf
/opt/sfw/etc/ssh_prng_cmds -> verified

/etc/services;
prngd 708/tcp # prngd/EGD system service
prngd-user 4840/tcp # prngd/EGD user service

NB: needed to recompile openssh to use prngd as an entropy source

Others just pointed out to use truss with the ssh-keygen command to see
what happen. (I don't have truss on a Core installation w/minimization).
