Thanks for all the replies I got:
I implemented the cluster by giving a bogus switch name for the 2nd
switch as I had only one switch. Below is how i got the private
inerconnects working
Hme0 (node 1) -- swith1 --Hme0 (node 2)
Ce1 (node1) -- switch2 -- Ce1 (node2)
Where Switch1 and Switch2 refer to the same switch.Also i have
implemented a Vlan for the private interconnects.
But now I am facing a peculiar situation, whenever I reboot a node I get
the error:
mount: mount point cannot be determined
Trying to remount /global/.devices/node at 1
mount: mount point cannot be determined
WARNING - Unable to mount one or more of the following filesystem(s):
/global/.devices/node at 1
If this is not repaired, global devices will be unavailable.
Run mount manually (mount filesystem...).
Exit the shell when done to continue the boot process.
Type control-d to proceed with normal startup,
(or give root password for system maintenance):
As a workaround I comment out the global line in vfstab and boot back the
cluster in single user mode and do a newfs for /dev/did/rdsk/d20s6,
uncoment the entry n vfstab and then boot back to multiuser mode.
Is there a permanent solution to this issue?

Hi,
I am trying to install Sun Cluster 3.1 with 3 nodes, solaris 8 2/02.
patch level 117350-27.
THe problem is I am having only two switches. One for private and one
for
public. Sun says this is not a supported config, but I just want it for
my companie's test environment. Is it possible to go ahead with this
cluster install ? and are there any special steps?
