Solaris 8 ppp

I am setting up a SUN Ultra 5 system with Solaris 8 I wanted to configure
dial out connection to access Internet. It is connecting... asking for
login: & passwd: and when I type ppp at router prompt.it is assigning an ip
& getting disconnected.
Is their any eqult function like F7 to continue in win 95.
