Federated Naming System

can anybody help here?
Could someone recommend a good book on the Sun Federated Naming system.
AND,.... commands such as "find / -name <filename> -print" never end as =
the search goes down miles of /xfn structures.
I tried using the program "chkrootkit" yesterday. It too never ended. =
After Ctrl-C, I tried df -k which failed with "too many lines in mnttab". =
Typical!!!
I admit I don't understand FNS/xfn and I'd like to get rid of it if =
possible.
Any help gratefully received.
