Recommended PCI replacement for m/b hme NIC

I have a flaky NIC on a Bell Microsystems Rave box with a 300 MHz
UltraSPARC-IIi-Engine motherboard. Rather than have the board repaired
or replaced, I would like to add a second NIC in one of the PCI slots
and disable the NIC on the m/b. Can anyone out there make a
recommendation on what NIC I should buy to maintain compatibility with
the hme driver? Is there an hardware compatibility list somewhere?
