Adding printer using Jetadmin?

As Sanjay has specified -:

"You may get that error which you have mentioned if you are not using the

card in the printer or hp external server .but you may be running some other

print server. Try ignoring that msg. You are getting . Select continue and

then select option 2nd Ie. Ignore it and continue . it will work I have

done the same and I don't have any problem with printing .

Using the above option you can only use basic service of printing , and not

other services provided by the jetadmin software . i.e printer management ."

I had downloaded HP JetAdmin version 6.21 and when running "jetadmin" and

selecting

Option (1) Configuration and then Option (3) "Add printer to local

spooler"

where I'm entering printer name I get the following messag:

!! No response from fiadmp2 !!

........(trying to ping fiadmp2)

The HP JetAdmin utility can ping the device. The problem may be:

* incorrect GET community name!

* it is not a network printer!

* other.

One thing for sure is that "fiadmp2" is a network printer and I could ping

it by

ip/printername. But I don't understand what's going on here? I'm running

solaris 2.5.1

from Sparc5.
