dtlogin: slow CPU hog?

2007-12-24 21:12:00

Managers,
On an E4500 running Solaris 7, we have quad card
through which several (approximately 70) Sun Rays are
communicating with the box. The parent dtlogin process
on the 4500 is using considerable CPU time when compared
with all other processes. Also, when a Sun Ray is connected
to the SunRay network, it takes an inordinate amount of
time (3-5 minutes) for the dtlogin screen to appear. We
have a 450 running Solaris 2.6, also connected to several
Sun Rays, that is having none of the dtlogin problems. I
looked on sunsolve to see if there were any patches for the
problem. I saw that a similar problem had been logged, but
no workaround was given. Have any of you had a similar
problem, and if so, have you been able to successfully resolve
the problem? How?
Thanks for you help.
