booting of local cdrom and then jumpstarting via install server

I don't know if this is possible or not (or if it's
totally stupid) but is it possible to boot off a local
cdrom (of a client) and then have the jumpstart
install server take over. The client server and the
install server are on 2 different subnets and I don't
have another server on the same subnet as the client
server that can be used as a boot server. Also, if
someone can clarify after what point does the boot
part of jumpstart finish and hand-off the rest of the
process to the install server to finish up.
