Booting Problem on Solaris 8

I am having Solaris 8 installed on Sunfire machine. It
has HME as well as GE interfaces. My primary interface
is HME, and GE interface is connected to Network
Attached Storage. Everything works fine.
When I reboot the machine, it tries to auto-negotiate
and boots from with GE interface. But I want to boot
machine with default as HME and use GE interface as
NAS interface.
If I change parameters for AutoNegotiating with ndd
(in /etc/system), will it solve my problem ?
