finger - No one logged on

2007-12-25 3:31:00

Hi Vinh and Patrick.

Thanks for your suggestions. Not only *finger* shows no one on my system,
neither *who* and *w*. They don't show anyone on the system. *ps* and
*last* show user id's and other info, but why *w*, *who*, and *finger* are
not working!!! They used to work 2 days ago.

Everyone here is using *ReflectionX* to telnet into my system with ksh. No
one uses csh/tcsh shell.

Hope this is enough info to help me out here. Thanks again.

Dat,

If your users are using exceed to login to Sun box with csh or tcsh shell in
there profile, then you won't
able to see them login with finger command.

The ps -ef or who can help you out.

Hope that help.

Vinh

Greetings,

I have few users currently on one of my E450 systems, but when I ran
*finger* and it reported "No one logged on". Can some one please show me
how to fix this issue? Thanks.
