iplanet messaging server installation on solaris 8

iplanet messaging version 5.0p2 on solaris 8. I have no problem with the
install if I install both the LDAP server and the messaging server on
the same machine. When I try to install against an existing LDAP server
the install fails on step 20 of 36 and the I have included the install
log below. If anyone could give me any pointers I would appreciate it.
