booting ultra 2 freezes at Openboot

Hello,
I just received a refurbished ultra2

when I start it for the first time I got the Openboot logo and standard
messages "2x296MHz CPU 1GB RAM" and after that the machine freezes I mean
nothing else happens, if I issue a STOP-A interrupt nothing happens.
Iam clueless and desperate, if someone has a few hints I'll be glad to
listen
