SUMMARY: USB Drive on Solaris 9 x86

Hi all,

Well, learned some things about USB 2.0 external storage on Solaris 9 x86.
Based on suggestions by a few folks, I could see the USB drive by the
following:

# cfgadm -l
Ap_Id Type Receptacle Occupant
Condition
usb0/1 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb0/2 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb2/1 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb2/2 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb3/1 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb3/2 usb-storage connected configured ok
usb3/3 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb3/4 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb3/5 unknown empty unconfigured ok
usb3/6 unknown empty unconfigured ok

But when I try to find it in /dev/dsk, it's not there. I tried the
following to see it:

/etc/init.d/volmgt stop
/etc/init.d/volmgt start

Still could not see it. Any further suggestions would be appreciate. I'll
be updating this box to Solaris 10 upon release in February 2005 which may
work better. Thanks to all who helped!
