[UPDATE/CLAIRIFICATION] opionions on in-house unix based mail systems

2007-12-24 20:14:00

Hello,

I want to thank everybody so far who has replied to me. This ultimately
will be a big summary as I feel that I must have hit a sore spot. Many
people have hit the nail on the head in their replies, and, for others,
I was not clear enough or was too wordy in my request. The management
in question has deep roots in Novell and moving off of exchange will
not be an issue. It has proven its self to be a piece of JUNK, even
in a small environment. I am also well versed in sendmail administration.
My main intent is to be able to provide a rich, full featured MUA and
Calendaring <sp> environment to replace what is in place now.

Although at some point money could be an issue after xxx dollars,
at this point in the comparison process it could be
freeware/shareware/commercial.

Thanks again to all of the people who have responded so far,

Jerry
