System reboot - many times
2007-12-24 19:37:00
Our system is E4500 running Solaris 2.5.1 and VERITAS Volume Manager
3.0.2.
We needed more space at /var. So, we resized this ( more 200MB). It was
free at rootdg.
But, we didn't pay attention that the rootdg was encapsulated.
Now, the system rebooted many times.
We don't know that the problem caused this reboot. Or if there is a
problem with CPU, because
after the reboot, only 2 cpu's are OK. (the total is 6).
There are 2 files at /var/vxvm/tempdb (A5200dg, rootdg) , but we don't
know what they are, because using the command "file", just say:
data.
Could someone help me?
Thanks in advance
Vera
