combing OS related partitions into a single drive

two 4GB drives into one 9GB.
Would I have any concerns over performance? Since my server has 4GB, most
needed pieces of OS are already in memory whether it's coming off of two
drives vs. one drive. Right?
I currently have:
DRIVE #1
Root=150MB
SWAP=2GB
USR=1GB
HOME=800MB
DRIVE#2
OPT=3GB
VAR=1GB
