determining print queue IP address
2007-12-25 0:19:00
A print queue set up on a Solaris 5.8 server's worked perfectly since it was
originally set up way back when. Standard procedure is to create the queue
with "lpadmin -p queue_name -s IP_Address".
Over the holidays, the remote printer in question was relocated. There was a
bunch of confusion about whether or not the printer's IP address had to change
or had been changed. Long and the short of it, I'm being asked to verify what
IP address the print queue had originally been set up to use and I have not
been able to do so.
Cannot ping queue name. Checked jetadmin but it had no knowledge of the print
queue. Read through the lpadmin, lp and lpstat man pages to no effect.
Does anyone know how this might be determined? Thanks.
