dev udp open failed

We are getting the following error messages reported from our NIS master and
2 slaves. These messages just started being reported after our last
recommended patch adds.

<host> ypserv[478]: [ID 942997 user.error] dev udp open failed

We are not experiencing any problems on the surface and have been running
fine for weeks.
SunOS 5.8 Generic_108528-17 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4

Anyone know what might be generating these errors or where to look?
