Help

Hi All
I downloaded the gzip software from GNU, installed it
and run the ./configure..
I then tried the run the command
gzip -cd filename.tar.gz | tar -xvf -

I still get errors saying gzip not found
How do I activate gnu software and then unzip my
software which is bind.9.2.1.tar.gz file
I need procedure to download and compile the
GNU(gzip)software and also unzip by BIND 9.2.1.tar.gz
software
