Hello Admins,
According to the below paragraph which I cut and paste from "man
coreadm" on 2.7, the child process inherits the core filename
pattern from the parent process. But I don't see this behaviour. I am
trying to specify a core file pattern to the watchdog process
of Netscape HTTP server but the subsequent child processes are not
inheriting the file pattern.
Am I doing something wrong ? I have also enabled the per-process core
file option by giving 'coreadm -e process' command.
-p pattern
A non-privileged user can apply the -p option only
to processes owned by that user. The
super-user can apply it to any process. The per-
process core file name pattern will be inherited
by future child processes of the affected
processes. See fork(2).
TIA
Amit Mohan
