I understand that Solaris is really very picky about the hardware on Intel
platforms..
a) The patch for the 810/815 chip set on Solaris 8 Intel Edition is
available at the following site..
http://www.sun.com/io_technologies/released-patches.html
I added patch 109401-07 by downloading..
by foll. command. patchadd 109401-07
it said that it installed fine but the display settings remain the same
even after a reboot. Can any of you tell me what could be the problem?
Is there any thing more to be done?
b) Regards to the network card, that was a faulty card.. :( Sorry for that.
