Dual NIC on Sol 8 Intel

I m trying to install a 2nd NIC on an Intel box which
has Solaris 8 installed.
The card gets detected at the time of configuration
assistant, but it doesnt show in ifconfig -a or
netstat -i.I dont know which interface it is using if
at all functional.My 1st interface is iprb0,and also
there is no interface like iprb1.
I think there is something wrong in my procedure,which
I am mentioning down, Kindly help,
1.inserted card
2.started the PC and gave touch /reconfigure
3.reboot
4.Device configuration assistant detects the device as
AMD PCI ethernet which is correct.
5.I dont know what interface is used or to be more
specific I am lost.
6.cfgadm gives
confifuration administration not supported.
Kindly help me,
