Solaris printing to Epson Stylus.?

I need to set up a Stylus 850 Ink jet printer to the parallel port (/dev/ecpp0).
I've read some HOW-TO's on this, and followed the instructions, but with no
success. Here's the how to that I followed:

http://cfauvcs5.harvard.edu/SetGSprinter4Solaris.html

I followed this word for word and it's issuing the following error:

# lp /etc/system
UX:lp: ERROR: There is no filter to convert the file content.
TO FIX: Use the lpstat -p -l command to find a
printer that can handle the file type
directly, check your filters using lpfilter -f all -l, or
consult with your system
administrator.

Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong or point me to a more accurate and
current HOW-TO?

Thanks again...
